Diplomacy

Aung San Suu Kyi managed to drop something a little astringent into the warm bath of joy that was her visit today to the BBC World Service at its new Broadcasting House home. Feigning innnocence, she described the current programming as "less versatile" than it was - saying nowadays she only hears news and commentary when she tunes in. As well as missing DLT's Jolly Good Show, where, she asked, was Just A Minute ? (Last heard on the World Service in 2006) and Bookshelf ? (we think it barely made it past the Millennium).

So when Global News boss Peter Horrocks answers her question "Are they still on the World Service ?" with the words "Some of them, not all of them", that may not be quite right. Listen here from around 50 seconds in...
