I note from the updated "Inside The BBC" that Lucy Adams is now styled Director, HR. Presumably Human Resources. She joined the corporation in June 2009 as Director, BBC People. In April 2011, she stepped down from the Executive and emerged as Director Business Operations.

Her salary has stayed remarkably stable, considering the changes in scope of her role; she would argue that it has been "frozen", one of her first actions on joining the BBC. She's currently on a package of £332,900. The Russell Reynolds Partnership publishes a guide to HR Director salaries in the UK; we await their 2012 update, but you'll see you have to go back to 2007 to find a deal at that level. BBC Chairman Lord Patten is retained as a member of the Board of Directors of Russell Reynolds Associates.
