Tim Davie looks grim and a tad sweaty facing a very mild first grilling as Acting DG from the BBC's Mark Easton, in the Media Cafe - with shots of Dr Evil's Volcano News Lair (copyright an old chum) in the background. Wait till he faces Humphrys or the Culture Select Committee before placing a bet on our marketing hero's long-term status at the BBC. Iain Overton leaves the shadowy Bureau of Investigation.
