That's entertainment

Funny old week ahead in showbiz. Jay Leno ends his - and Burbank's - tenure of The Tonight Show on Thursday, and starts a year of stand-up the next day, at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota, Florida.

On Wednesday afternoon, the BBC's Lucy Adams takes to Stage 1 of the ICC in Birmingham, for a session at the HR Directors Business Summit. Lucy will answer questions on…

  • Navigating the tricky area between business priorities and public accountability
  • What can be learnt from the BBC Crisis [sic] - what she has personally learnt from her high-profile role and what she might do differently?
  • How do you continue to manage staff morale and overall people management during crises ?

VIP Delegate tickets for the Summit are £875. Some of that covers Lucy's new hair-do and photos.

On Monday afternoon, old BBC chums renew acquaintances with each other and admirers on the Public Accounts Select Committee. Expect rip-snorters, grimaces, and put-downs - and that's just from "I'm here all week" chair Margaret Hodge.
