Body of work

In the whacky world of BBC Worldwide, cable channel BBC America has just won two awards - one for an ITV series, Broadchurch, and the other for a Canadian-made series, Orphan Black, which has run without much impact on BBC3.

However, the Peabody Award for BBC World News, for coverage of Syria, is BBC through and through - featuring reports by Lyse Doucet, Paul Wood, Ian Pannell and Jeremy Bowen. In the judges' view, “the consistent, up-close coverage of Syria’s civil war and its human toll by BBC World News journalists had no equal in 2013.”
