Hung

The Independent's Ian Burrell reports that the gallery of presenter portraits in the lobby of The Radisson Broadcasting House have been rebalanced, after someone noticed there were only three women compared with 15 men.

Someone may now also notice that the rebalancing has been achieved with popular music artistes, rather than BBC talent - Emile Sande, Annie Lennox and Paloma Faith. Also featured, with slightly stronger BBC connections, are Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley (though Saunders is a critic of today's BBC) and Sandi Toksvig - hostess of Radio 4's News Quiz, but now also known for another quiz - 15 to 1, on Channel 4.

Expect a call soon for a fairer balance between radio and tv personalities.
