Strange ?

A difficult night for Original British Drama on Sunday: the second episode of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell dropped nearly two million viewers on BBC1, despite the attractions of CGI rain ships and sand horses.

2.57m (13% of those watching any tv at the time) was the average audience, compared with 4.53m (20.5%) for the series opener.  Sunday night drama fans seem to favour ITV's original Home Fires, with a 4.47m average (22.6%).  Next weekend, the ficitional 19th Century magicians are up against the final of Britain's Got Talent. Will catch-up come to the rescue ? Six episodes still to go....
