Waving away ?

One suspects that BBC suits will be quite interested in the response to today's medium wave transmitter maintenance work affecting Radio 5Live on 909 in the North of England. It could take up to ten hours - and if it's the biggest transmitter, it's probably the power (and cash) hungry Moorside Edge set-up.

Moorside Edge also pumps out Talksport on 1089, and Absolute Radio on 1215, but I can find no reference to their service being disrupted.
