Bombing

BBC Pure Drama, SS-GB, is turning out to be adulterated codswallop. Last night's penultimate episode dropped to 3.44m in the overnights - a share of 14.1%. The treatment wavers between early Le Carre, mid-period John Boorman, and late Ripping Yarns. Our hero, played by Sam Riley, lacks motivation. The script editor may have been tortured. Or ought to be.

Charlotte Moore can cheer herself up with poor figures for The Voice on ITV. Painfully extruded over an hour and 15 minutes. it averaged 3.44m - a 14.1% share. Don't think it ever went that low with Auntie.

And on BBC2, Top Gear Rebooted maintained a reasonable 2.75m, 11.1%.

Meanwhile Call The Midwife sailed into this year's sentimental sunset with 9.01m - which should grow to closer to 11m after a month.
